From Going to the Sun Children's Show 2008

The Hockaday Museum invites students of Member Schools, Hockaday Art Classes, and Family Level Museum Memberships to participate in our Annual Children�s Art Show. This exhibition of 2 and 3 dimensional artwork is open to students in kindergarten through junior high school. All artwork must have been created during the current school year. (August 2008 - March 2009)

The theme of this 2009�s show is Montana on the Move, a reflection of Montana as a place of change in people, landscape, and vision. Use your artistic creativity to apply this theme to your submitted art work � Examples: People or animals in motion; Montana modes of transportation -- past, present or future, etc.

All artwork must be accompanied by a completed application and delivered to the Museum between March 3 and April 3, 2009. One work of art per student will be accepted. Please limit art to 12�x18� or smaller, and submit it unframed. The Museum strongly encourages participants to mount or mat two-dimensional art with colored construction paper. Three-dimensional art will be accepted as exhibit space allows.

The Museum is located at 302 Second Ave East, Kalispell and open from 10am to 5pm, Tuesday through Saturday.
Artwork may be picked up from the Hockaday Museum between May 12th and May 30th.
The Museum is not responsible for artwork left unclaimed after May 30, 2009.
