A
Free Pass & A Street Permit from the 1st Festival of Fools -- 1975
These
may be tangental primary research sources, but they are fun:
Medewerkers Card:
(150 dpi) What can I say about our common backstage pass? It was
designed by Michael "Madness" Novotny of the American
Friends Roadshow -- he was a founding member of Footsbarn Theatre
too, and Production Designer for I Was A Teenage Palm Tree --
playing movie director Frederico Fungali in the bargain.
Official
Street Theater Permit from the City of Amsterdam:
Under most circumstances, performing on the street was totally illegal,
but the City of Amsterdam relented for the Festival of Fools. Collecting
money for our work was still unlawful, but we did it anyway -- George-O
and Mark got in trouble one day, but George held on to their money
by saying nothing, and "keeping it under his hat."
