Your
membership to the Hockaday Museum of Art is an annual pass to
stimulating lectures and programs, enjoyable social gatherings,
original art education classes for children and adults, and
regularly changing exhibits which showcase the art and culture of
Montana and the artists of Glacier National Park.
Your
Hockaday Museum membership card gives you free museum visits,
discounts on unique gifts created by local artists from the Off the
Wall Gift Gallery, and advance notification about events at the
museum. As a member, you will receive newsletters, invitations, and
announcements about social activities, exhibition openings, and
education programs throughout the year.
Support from our members is
the lifeblood of the Museum, providing 35% of the Museum's operating
budget.
Your membership truly makes a difference in supporting the
arts and culture in the Flathead Valley.
Business
Memberships
Business memberships are a
mutually beneficial partnership between the business community and
the museum. Your contribution provides critical financial support to
museum programs and services.
As a
business supporter of the Hockaday Museum, you receive a variety of
benefits including a family membership to the museum, recognition in
The Sketch Pad newsletter, and invitations to opening
receptions and events. You are also invited to participate in
Corporate Days, which gives you and all of your employees free
admission to the museum on the first Friday and Saturday of each
month.
Sponsorship
of events and exhibits is an option for supporting the museum, and
is an excellent way to increase your visibility in the community.
Your business name will be included as a sponsor on all promotional
materials for the exhibit or event.
Additional Giving Opportunities
The
Annual Fund Drive provides essential funding for exhibits,
program services, and special projects.
The Art
Acquisition Fund is used to purchase new works for the Museum's
Permanent Collection, including the People's Choice Purchase
Award winner from the Miniatures show. Your contribution will
leave a lasting legacy to be enjoyed by generations to come.
Donations of artwork are always welcome and continue to
be an important part
of our Permanent Collection. Please contact the Museum if you
have artwork to donate.
The
Endowment Fund serves two primary purposes: to preserve the
value of donors' gifts and to ensure the continued existence of
the Hockaday. Income from the endowment is targeted for both
operations and building maintenance and improvement and for
exhibit and educational programs.
The Ed Bailey Scholarship
Fund was established to make art education available to everyone
by providing financial assistance for class fees.
