Free Preview Party -- Friday, March 27 from 5 to 7pm.
Attendees are invited to vote for the People’s Choice Award during the Preview Party. The painting that receives this Award will be purchased by the Hockaday Museum of Art as an addition to the permanent collection. Information

Losing A Legacy: A Photographic Story of Disappearing Glaciers
USGS scientist and photographer Dan Fagre will speak at an encore reception on April 2nd, 5 to 7 PM
at the Hockaday Museum. This popular and important show will return to the museum from May 19 to Sept. 6, 2009.


Arts in the Park: July 24, 25, & 26, 2009
As Northwest Montana’s largest and longest-running art & entertainment fair, Arts in the Park is a summertime favorite.

This juried art show is ideal for browsing and buying high quality jewelry, clothing, photography, paintings, pottery, glass, and other artwork.

Crits and Croissants -- 2nd Saturday of Every Month
Enjoy coffee, croissants, and feedback from fellow artists at the Hockaday Museum of Art. Bring a piece of your recent artwork for a professional critique! Cost: $5 /Session.
 

Senior Tour & Tea Days Sponsored by Medical Arts Pharmacy, Syke’s Pharmacy, and Stoick Drug
 Museum of Art The Hockaday Museum of Art gratefully acknowledges three Kalispell businesses: Syke’s Pharmacy, Medical Arts Pharmacy, and Stoick Drug for their joint sponsorship of 2009 Senior Tour & Tea Days held on the second Thursday of each month at the Hockaday Museum of Art. On Senior Tour & Tea Days, senior citizens aged 60+ are offered free admission to the Museum. Light refreshments are served all day and at 10:30am, a special gallery tour is led one of the Hockaday’s trained, volunteer docents.

Traveling Medicine Show -- A collaborative project between the Hockaday Museum and artists-educators of the Blackfeet Nation to assist schools with implementation of the Indian Education for All Act, a statewide mandate. Three traveling cases: Ancient, Traditional and Contemporary, bring primary source artifacts, displays, hands-on activities, and Blackfeet facilitators directly to Native American Studies classrooms. Students explore the history, culture and traditional practices of the Northern Plains Indians and discover how each has influenced the other across time and territory.

The Artist-Wilderness-Connection Project
An artist-in-residence program that connects artists with the Flathead National Forest, the Hockaday Museum of Art and area communities is calling for artists of all disciplines.
